Soap Is A Wash-Off Product. NOT A Miraculous Drug!
Wow! I can’t believe it’s been a year already since I launched my online store. Since then, I have had a successful but very busy year researching, crafting and marketing my handmade soaps and bath and body cosmetics. Although I did a ton of research before I launched my brand on recipes for products that are safe and good for your skin, since I have launched I have learned so much more. Soap and cosmetic making techniques are pretty straightforward, but there are constant fads and trends that are always changing. And just because it is trending, doesn’t mean it’s beneficial, or even safe. For instance, I have seen so many ads for different soaps that say they will do A, B, or C and some even claim to have healing properties in them! Please remember soap is a WASH-OFF product. Yes, the luxurious butters and sustainably sourced oils are very good for our skin and help cleanse us, but that is their only job when they are used to make soap! Some oils and butters are better than others when it comes to soap making in helping your skin feel softer and less dry. But nobody, unless they have been clinically proven to do so, should ever claim that a soap will HEAL any ailment. And when that happens, it is no longer a soap or a cosmetic; it would be classified as a drug. If you want something to soothe your skin, try a soak or a bath bomb with some milks or oats that are known to soothe irritated skin. If you have flaky and dry skin, try some exfoliating scrubs and moisturizers like lotions, body butters, and balms. That’s what their job is because they remain on your skin for longer than just a shower. A soap’s ONLY job is to get you clean. And after it has done its job, you wash it off! So don’t be fooled by false, unproven claims that any soap can miraculously heal any ailment. That being said, our handmade artisan soaps are detergent free, and are made with sustainably sourced amazing oils and butters that will help cleanse your skin and they smell amazing 🤩 Our spring collection will be coming soon so keep checking back to see what’s happening on the curing rack to get a sneak peek of the spring line. Thank you for visiting my website. I hope everyone has an amazing year!
